Put name/Period/Date on Unit 1 Colonization Playlist

Activities:

  1. Review 2/3/4 Level of Learning
  2. Set Goals on Playlist/Discuss Due Dates
  3. Crash Course Intro

US History P. 5

Objectives:

  • Identify terms related to early European civilization and exploration.
  • Identify terms related to Spanish colonization of the New World.
  • Describe some of the social consequences of their presence in the New World as the result of intentions.
  • Create a chart that analyzes the effects of exploration on the Native and African societies of the 15th centuries.

Bell Ringer:

Put Name/Date/Class hour on Cornell Note Sheet.  Write Unit 1 Colonization for Topic.

Activities:

  1. Intro Unit 1 Colonization Quizlet/CMS Companion
  2. Take Notes Front and Back with Summary using one site or both
  3. Turn in Completed Cornell Note Sheet

IB 20th Century World

Objectives:

  • Identify the requirements for the HL IB year 1 course.
  • Analyze and understand how ideas of the historical account, eyewitness account, bias and revisionist history impact our knowledge of history.
  • Organize, plan and create a presentation of one event from your summer.
  • Analyze a presentation of one student to evaluate the historical account of their summer break.

Bell Ringer:

Take out Revisionist Discussion Questions/ Share with one other person at table

Activities:

  1. Pair Share
  2. Go over Questions as a class
  3. Present My Revisionist History Assignment
  4. Brainstorm Picture and Story
  5. Present on Monday!!!
